Together for Brothers (T4B) Young Men of Color Summer Cohort & HIA Crew
August 14 @ 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Summer’s almost here and Together for Brothers (T4B) has two opportunities for young men of color including a summer cohort on Mondays (5:30-8:30pm) from May 22-August 14 — and for young men of color who live, work, play, pray or learn in the International District (87108) or Westgate (87121) we also have the Health Impact Assessment (HIA) Crew.
Apply for the cohort or HIA Crew at bit.ly/t4bsu17 by Friday, May 12.
The cohort consists of weekly circles and opportunities to learn, mentor and network as well as cook healthy meals with other young men of color. YMOC will receive up to a $300 stipend at the completion of the cohort.
Health Impact Assessment (HIA) Crew will learn about and collect data and information — including surveys, interviews and community meetings — about the health impacts of access, affordability and use of public transportation and young men of color in the International District and Westgate. HIA Crew receives a stipend of $10/hour for work done throughout the summer.
This project is supported by a grant from the New Mexico Health Equity Partnership, an Initiative at the Santa Fe Community Foundation, and the W.K. Kellogg Foundation.
