Better Together – Race and Religion in the Pulpit

February 12 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

40 year ago the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. said,”…the most segregated hour in America is eleven o’clock on Sunday morning.”  8 clergy members from different denominations/religions participated in a Sunday morning pulpit exchange and they now reconvene in this round table event to discuss their experience and King’s unfortunate truth.  In conjunction with the 6th Annual NM Black History Festival, clergy will engage in real talk about where we go from here in the spirit of love, conciliation and the desire for change.  Panel will be facilitated by Gene Grant, New Mexico In-Focus.

If we do this right, it will not be a one-time event–it will truly be the start of something big…
